About The Eleventh Doctor

The Eleventh Doctor, played by Matt Smith, was the youngest actor to play the Doctor. His portrayal of the Doctor was that of a quick-tempered, sometimes distracted but compassionate man. He first appeared in season 5 (2010) on "The End of Time" where he met his newest companion Amy Pond when she was just a little girl. After leaving for what he thought was just a moment, he returned to her years later but now she was an adult. The Eleventh Doctor's signature look was the bow-tie and fez. His companions were Amy and Rory, River Song, and lastly Clara Oswald. Smith left his role as the Doctor in season 7 (2013) on "The Time of the Doctor" when we all discovered, he could regenerate beyond the twelfth time.

About Doctor Who

Doctor Who is one of the world's longest-running sci-fi television series and most recognizable brand from the UK. Its popularity continues to spread across the world like wildfire. The show first aired on BBC in 1963 introducing the First Doctor, a humanoid alien called a Time Lord with the technology to travel through time. He travels through time and space in a spaceship disguised as a Police Call Box called the TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space). The Doctor and his companions save planets and galaxies from enemies like the Daleks and Cybermen. With each previous Doctor's regeneration, a new Doctor emerges – allowing the series to renew itself time and time again.
